It’s the sound of the season; bells ringing outside shopping areas for the salvation army red kettle drive. Lieutenant Doug Hanson, with the Salvation Army, said the red kettle drive started a week early this year and they expect donations to pick up as the holiday season goes on.
Hanson said while a lot of people drop change in the kettles, there have also been numerous 100 dollars bills placed in the kettles so far.
