The Cheyenne Police Department is still searching for a suspect in a homicide investigation. Police are searching for 57 year old Emigdio Lara of Cheyenne in the death of 21 year old Victoria Juarez. Lara and Juarez were dating.
Kevin Malatesta, Public Information Officer for the Cheyenne Police department, says police have received several tips on Lara since Juarez’s body was found Monday in the basement of a south Cheyenne restaurant where she worked.
Malatesta says while Lara is still on the loose, they don’t believe there is a threat to the community.
Malatesta says the victim had been suffocated and suffered blunt force trauma.
