Two separate fires in Cheyenne and Laramie County kept fire crews busy yesterday.
The first fire sparked up around 2:41 yesterday in the 300 block of West 15th Street on Union Pacific property. It burned about 2,500 square feet before Union Pacific employees and Cheyenne firefighters extinguished the fire.
A transient in the area was injured in the fire and transported to Cheyenne regional Medical Center. The cause of the fire is undetermined.

Laramie County fire crews, along with crews from F.E Warren Air Force Base responded to a grass fire near I-25 and mile marker around 9:00pm Thursday night. Even though no fire was found, crews were able to follow the glow of flames to the actual location at 2525 CR 124A for a fully engulfed home.
The occupants of the home were not present at the time of the fire, and no one was injured, the home was declared a total loss. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
