Two Men Arrested In Aggravated Assault

The Cheyenne Police Department arrested two men in connection with an aggravated assault case that occurred at Dell Range Boulevard and Hilltop Avenue.
Matthew Carabajal-Jacoby, 25, of Cheyenne, was arrested and booked into the Laramie County Detention Facility on aggravated assault and interference with peace officer charges.
Kevin Cardoza, 30, of Commerce City, Col., was arrested and booked into the Laramie County Detention Facility on charges of destruction of property, no drivers license, and a warrant out of Colorado.
On Aug. 11 at 8 p.m. officers were dispatched to Dell Range Boulevard and Hilltop Avenue after receiving a report of a disturbance involving multiple people in two vehicles.  During the altercation Carabajal-Jacoby allegedly got out of his vehicle, displayed a knife and attempted to stab Abel Martinez, 27, of Cheyenne, with whom Carabajal-Jacoby was acquainted. Cardoza allegedly slashed the tires of Martinez’s car during the altercation.
Carabajal-Jacoby and Cardoza then got back into their vehicle and fled the scene. Police located them a short time later at College Drive and Campstool Road.
This case remains under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Department.
