Two men have been sentenced for helping to build a pipe bomb that was found beneath a Laramie home.
The Laramie Boomerang reports 31-year-old William Isaac Ferrill got probation and 32-year-old Eric Shane Farrar was sentenced to four to nine years in prison Tuesday for conspiring to manufacture an improvised explosive device.
The two accepted plea agreements to avoid conspiracy to commit murder charges.
Police say the men helped 40-year-old Ryan Alexander Brown, who wanted to kill a Cheyenne resident he believed was having an affair with his wife.
Brown was found guilty by a jury in May and is awaiting sentencing.
A judge granted the defense’s request for probation for Ferrill, noting factors like his limited role in the crime.
If he violates probation, he could spend three to five years in prison.
