Wyoming’s homecoming was spoiled by an overtime loss to San Jose State, 27-20, on Saturday in Laramie. The Cowboys had a chance to win the game with a field goal in the final seconds of overtime, but Stuart Williams’ attempt bounced off the upright as time expired.

The Spartans got the ball first in overtime and scored a touchdown on a 4-yard pass from Joe Gray to Tyler Winston. The Pokes then failed to get a first down, giving SJSU the win.

UW (3-4, 1-2) heads across the border to take on rival Colorado State University next. Kick is set for 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25.
