LARAMIE, Wyo. — Despite a change in ownership, the WyoTech technical college in Laramie is still graduating students and placing them in jobs.

WyoTech was purchased by Zenith Education group after its former owner, Corinthian College, collapsed amid a cash shortage and fraud allegations.

Since then, a significant number of employees were laid off, and enrollment dipped to a low point.

About 140 students received their degrees on Friday.

Director of Education Caleb Perriton says the class is small compared to past years.

He says enrollment has dipped to 265 students mainly because of the change in ownership this year.

But Perriton tells the Laramie Boomerang (http://bit.ly/1FTPX26) that numbers should rebound to about 320 in the next session.
