Director John Cox has named John Ysebaert to the position of Deputy Director of the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services (DWS).
“John Ysebaert is a proven leader and dedicated public servant,” said DWS Director John Cox. “I am confident that his principled approach and ability to get things done will advance the Department’s efforts to best serve Wyoming workers and employers.”
As Administrator for the DWS Standards and Compliance Division, Ysebaert played a key role in the DWS reorganization in 2011. He served as Administrator of the Division for six years where he oversaw the compliance arm of the agency, including the Workers’ Compensation, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Labor Standards and Employment Tax programs. Notably, during his time as Administrator, Ysebaert led key initiatives within the OSHA and Workers’ Compensation programs to expand safety expertise and resources to employers in Wyoming.
Ysebaert is a veteran of 22 years in the military, retiring at the rank of Captain. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Wyoming.
