LARAMIE, Wyo.– The University of Wyoming soccer team won its 10th straight home game on Friday afternoon, 3-0, against the Idaho State Bengals at the Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex. Sophomore forward Shaina Ashouri notched all three goals for the Cowgirls. UW is now 4-1-3 on the season and remain unbeaten at the Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex since 2013.

Sophomore defender Alisha Bass crossed the ball to the middle of the pitch, where Ashouri put it in the back of the net for her first goal of the afternoon at the 14th minute mark. Her next goal came off a rebound in front of the net in the 79th minute when Idaho State blocked two of freshman forward Jessie Gentle’s shots. Ashouri’s last goal came from a well-placed through ball from freshman forward Jessie Gentle. Ashouri notched the first hat trick of her career. She now leads the Cowgirls in goals with six on the year.
