County GOP To Hold Special Meeting For Vacant County Clerk Office

The Laramie County Republican Party will hold a Special Meeting at 8:30 am on June 4, 2016 to select nominees for the vacant office of Laramie County Clerk.  The meeting will be held at a location to be determined soon.  The Laramie County Republican Party Central Committee will select three (3) individuals as nominees for Laramie County Clerk.  The Laramie County Commissioners will then appoint a new Clerk from the three (3) nominees chosen by the Laramie County Republican Party Central Committee.

Persons interested in being considered for appointment as Laramie County Clerk must submit a complete application to the Laramie County Republican Party by 5:00 pm on May 27, 2016.  The application and procedures covering the appointment process are available to the public on the Laramie County Republican Party website at  To be eligible for appointment, an interested person must be a registered Republican and a qualified elector as defined by state law.

After the Laramie County Republican Party selects three (3) nominees, the Laramie County Commissioners will have five (5) days to appoint a new Clerk.  The office of Laramie County Clerk was rendered vacant by the passing of Debbye Lathrop on May 18, 2016.
