A gas leak Wednesday morning forced the evacuation of Anderson Elementary school.
Sharon Fain, spokesperson for Black Hills Energy, says a contractor working in the Foothills Road area near Anderson elementary struck an underground natural gas line. Fain says crews should have the line repaired by the end of the day.
The only customer effected by the gas leak was Anderson elementary. The students were evacuated and transported to Story Gymnasium. Laramie County School District Number One officials said the students were evacuated as a precaution, and the school will remained closed for the rest of the day. Students were allowed to go home.
Fain says there were no injuries.
