Logan Avenue Reconstruction Project Starts Monday

by Staff – 6 July ’14

The reconstruction of Logan Avenue between Nationway and East Pershing Boulevard will begin on Monday, July 7, weather permitting. The City of Cheyenne says the street is being reconstructed with new sanitary sewer, water lines, stormwater drains, sidewalks, curb, gutter and new road surface.

The first phase of the project will close Logan Ave. between Nationway and just north of East 10th Street. The intersection of Nationway and Logan Avenue will have lane reductions, but will remain open. The next section of Logan Ave., just north of East 10th Street to just north of East 12th Street will be the last section of Logan under construction this year.

Detours will be posted and there will be business access during construction. The other sections of Logan Ave. will be reconstructed in 2015. The project is slated to be completed in late 2015.

The cost of this project is $7.7 million with funding from the Fifth-Penny Sales and Use Tax, and the Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities.
