Officials at Cheyenne Fire & Rescue remind Cheyenne residents that sparklers, smoke devices and novelty fireworks are the only legal consumer fireworks that can be purchased and used within the City of Cheyenne.
“The use of consumer fireworks within the Cheyenne City limits is not allowed on private property except for sparklers, smoke devices and novelties,” said Byron Mathews, Chief of Prevention at Cheyenne Fire & Rescue. “To prevent injuries and possible death, Cheyenne Fire & Rescue encourages residents to leave the fireworks to the professionals.”
