Wyoming ACT Scores Show Improvement

By Associated Press – 20 Aug ’14

New results show that Wyoming students scored slightly higher overall on the ACT college entrance exam but remain below the national average.

Performance results on the ACT for the 2014 graduating class were released Wednesday by the Wyoming Department of Education and the ACT.

Statewide, the average composite score for the graduating class of 2014 rose from a year ago, increasing from 19.8 in 2013 to 20.1 in 2014. Nationally, the average composite score was 21.

Wyoming is one of a few states that require all its high school juniors to take the ACT. More than 6,000 students took the test in 2014.
