A decision by Laramie County School District No.1 to allow epi-pens in classrooms may have already saved a life. Superintended John Lyttle said an epi-pen, which is used when someone is having an allergic reaction, was used recently at Henderson Elementary.
Lyttle said more schools are using epi-pens in the classroom nationwide, but Cheyenne might be the first in the Wyoming.
LCSD 1 recently recognized the school nurse and teacher at Henderson for the efforts in helping the student with the epi-pen.
