A Cheyenne man has pleaded guilty in the U.S. District Court to one count of health care fraud.
Brian Jimenez was accused of engaging in improper health care billing practices involving the Medicare program from about May 2012 to February 2014.
Jimenez entered his plea Monday and a sentencing hearing has been set for Feb. 23 before U.S. District Court Judge Nancy Freudenthal.
The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports that a plea agreement reached in the case does not propose prison time and suggests the prosecution would not oppose a sentence of probation.
But Assistant U.S. attorney Mark Klaassen said restitution owed by Jimenez could amount to nearly $83,500.
