A Cheyenne man has suffered extensive injuries to his face and hands in a fireworks explosion and has been airlifted to a Colorado hospital.
The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports the man was injured late Friday or early Saturday and was airlifted to a burn unit in Colorado. The hospital wasn’t identified.
The victim was in his early 20s. His name wasn’t immediately released.
Authorities say a fireworks device exploded in the man’s hands at a Cheyenne residence.
The Cheyenne Fire and Rescue Department says it extinguished five small grass over the weekend that were believed to be started by fireworks. None caused significant damage.
