Cheyenne businessman Ed Murray easily defeated two third-party candidates for secretary of state.
Libertarian Kit Carson of Cheyenne and Constitution candidate Jennifer Young of Lingle had little money or name recognition to run on.
Murray won a hard-fought primary campaign for the Republican nomination for the job that is being vacated by Max Maxfield. No democrat sought the office.
