Authorities have released the name of the man who was killed last week in an oil tank explosion west of Cheyenne. The Laramie County Sheriff’s Department reports that Elmer Loman, 52, died after an oil tank he was welding on exploded for an unknown reason.
Loman is believed to be from Moorcroft originally. Coworkers say he had been working at Tri-State Oil Reclaimers for about a year and a half.
The Occupational and Safety Health Administration is investigating the fatal accident.
