Styvar sworn in to represent House District 12

Clarence Styvar of Cheyenne was sworn in as a member of the 64th Wyoming Legislature on Friday in the House Chamber of the Jonah Business Center in Cheyenne.  Wyoming Supreme Court Justice Lynne Boomgaarden administered the oath of office.

 

Rep. Styvar was joined by members of the Wyoming Legislature, legislative staff and family members at the brief ceremony. 

 

Following the administration of the oath of office from Justice Boomgaarden, fellow legislators welcomed Styvar to the Wyoming Legislature. Styvar addressed the well-wishers during the ceremony saying he looked forward to learning a lot and working hard to serve the people of Wyoming.

 

Styvar was appointed by the Laramie County Commissioners to serve the residents of House District 12 on Sept. 14 to fill the vacant seat left by former Rep. Lars Lone who resigned Aug. 27.

 

Speaker of the Wyoming House Steve Harshman also announced that Rep. Styvar will replace Rep. Lone on the House Labor, Health and Social Services Committee.
